Sports Day and Sausage Sizzle

Dear Parents,
we will be holding our annual sports day and sausage sizzle next Thursday September 25th.
This is an exciting fun day and you are invited to join us (bring your running shoes for the parent races!!)
We divide our day into two separate parts. We begin with a health hustle in the gymnasium, running races and circle games on the oval. At the conclusion of this we go back to the Kindergarten for an ice block, small snack and toilet break. We ask that parents do not join us in the kindergarten during this break to avoid tears. Students will leave the oval with their teachers.
We return at 11.15am for our tabloid activities, breaking into six groups that move around the oval to different activities ably assisted by year six students. Please feel free to join your child's group and walk with us.
At the end of sports day children who are normally a full day child have the option of early dismissal due to the tiring nature of the day. Junior Primary staff organise a sausage sizzle fundraiser for children who are staying full day. If you would like your child to have a sausage please complete the form they received in their pigeon hole on Monday the 15th and return it to the Prep school office in a sealed envelope no later than Monday the 22nd of September. Please include correct money as no change will be given. Please note that if you plan to collect your child directly after we finish at approximately 12.15 it is not advisable to order sausages as they may not be ready to collect by this time.
Children may wear their house colour t-shirt on the day. Flinders parents may like to purchase a house t-shirt from the Princes Uniform Shop as they will be required to purchase this in December for weekly Tuesday sport for 2009 anyway. Pirie Room sport houses are on display in the classroom and Flinders sport houses can be seen on the poster above students lockers.
