Dear Parents,
I will leave for Italy on Tuesday to begin a study tour in Reggio Emilia. I have confidence that the end of the term will run smoothly and wish all of you a safe and happy holidays.
If there is something that you would normally speak to me about that you would like to have addressed please feel free to approach our teacher in the Pirie Room, Ms Kate Walsh, whilst I am away. If it is something that can wait until the start of next term please send me an e-mail at mbishop@pac.edu.au and I will respond upon my return.
Thankyou for a great start to the year and I look forward to seeing you all in Term Two.
Thanks
Mel Bishop

To Keep Those Crows Away!
Dear Parents,
As many of you are aware the Pirie Room children have been busy planting seeds and watching our garden grow. The question was posed to the children what can we do to keep the birds away from the beans once they have been planted in the garden? It was suggested that we could make a scarecrow. As a group we made a list of some of the things we might need to make a scarecrow. This list included a hat, a stick for the ground, straw and a pink hat! If any parents have any of these items, or any other items that could be used for our scarecrow, donations would be kindly accepted.
Thank you,
Pirie Room Staff.
